QuickSCADA - Simple, Reliable, Expandable

The Destek QuickSCADA architecture allows us to create your system faster and smarter than any system available.  Destek has invested in our clients and created an easy to use, expandable system for Water and Waste Water systems.  Using the RascalPLC and Lookout HMI software, QuickSCADA provides a reliable and cost effective control system for our clients.

Cost Effective

Destek understands the need to keep costs down while providing the most performance and functions available.  Pre-packaged systems help lower the cost of installation by making all the equipment easy to mount.  Lower operating costs by not having replacement parts for different vendors and suppliers.

Using a template-based system, QuickSCADA interfaces can be created by operators with basic computer knowledge.  Drag and drop components are used to rapidly add to your system. The faster you can have your system created, the lower the total cost of ownership, the quicker the return on investment.

Industry Standard

The QuickSCADA system does not use proprietary, closed source solutions.  All the components of a QuickSCADA system are industry standard and tested solutions.  Lookout HMI software has been used for many years to control water and waste water systems.  National Instruments is a recognized and awarded provider of software for HMI, SCADA and data analysis.

RascalPLC controls connect using MODBUS, the most recognized industrial communications protocol in the world.  This allows the QuickSCADA system to not only use the RascalPLC, but also any PLC or RTU that uses MODBUS.

Destek can customize your RascalPLC controller to use virtually any communications interface.  Radios, licensed and unlicened, from GE MDS, Teledesigns, FreeWave and RF Datatech. Ethernet products from Cisco, Trango, D-Link.  Cellular connection for Verizon, Sprint and Nextel. These are just a few examples of the customizations available for the RascalPLC and QuickSCADA system.

Operator Designed

Destek created the interface with you and your operators in mind.  Many SCADA and HMI solutions are created by the programmers and designers themselves, not actual plant operators.  QuickSCADA was designed by water and waste-water operators to be what they need, not what the developer thought they might.  Easy to navigate screens, descriptive control functions and common theme are a major part of the QuickSCADA advantage.

Destek does not create a "runtime only" or locked system, all QuickSCADA installs are fully expandable and customizable.  Simple object-based interfaces allow the operators to create the look they need to operate efficiently.  Create custom reports and functions with easy to use, pre-built modules in Lookout.

Easy to Install

RascalPLC controllers for the QuickSCADA system are pre-built to any size backplane or enclosure you need.  Pre-wired terminal blocks allow for quick and secure connections.  Designed for AC and DC setups, the pre-assembled RascalPLC controllers can be customized for different power and communications requirements.

Every assembly is sent with easy to read, detailed instructions on every terminal.  Examples of common setup and connections are included to help even the most novice of electrical installers connect your system.  All systems are sent with the capabilities of our custom systems including: control, monitor and analog connections. 

Secure

QuickSCADA includes connections for remote security functions.  Simple connections to motion, door and window sensors, remote key bypass and outputs to control site lighting or video equipment.  Events are sent to the QuickSCADA operator interface and notifications are sent to oncall staff to respond.

Using the SCADAcrypt device, all communications sent over the air can be encryped with strong AES encryption.  This encryption prevents unauthorized viewing and modifications to runtime parameters without impacting the performance of your system.
